Oceanic Awards has announced the appointment of Yasmin Mahmood as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant new chapter for one of the UK’s most established awards organisations.

Yasmin brings with her 18 years of experience within Oceanic Awards, having held a range of senior management and leadership roles across the organisation.

As CEO, she will oversee an ambitious expansion plan as they look to deliver more than 125 events over the next year across the UK and internationally. This includes a return to North America, a region where Oceanic Awards had begun to get a foothold before pausing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Under her leadership, Oceanic Awards will also continue its strong commitment to charitable giving and community impact. To date, the organisation has helped raise close to £1 million for a wide range of charitable causes, and this focus on fundraising and social responsibility will remain central to its future strategy.

Speaking on her appointment, Yasmin said: “Oceanic Awards has been a huge part of my professional life for the past 18 years, and it’s an honour to now step into the role of CEO.

I’ve seen first-hand how these events bring communities together, celebrate excellence, and create real impact beyond the awards themselves.

I’m excited to lead the company into this next phase of growth while staying true to the values that Oceanic Awards was built on.”
