Mumbles Rangers 4 – Penydarren Seniors BGC 0

On a sweltering afternoon at the Swansea University Sports Stadium Sketty, Mumbles Rangers produced a performance of high quality to run out winners by four goals without reply to gain the three league points.

However Rangers were given an early scare when a thumping shot bounced off the Rangers crossbar to safety and a one on one chance went begging for the opponents.

Rangers broke the deadlock when defender Alex Smith glanced a header from a corner into the Penydarren net from close range at the far post.
A second Rangers goal followed when striker Chrissy Allen rounded off a good move by scoring from close range.

Two nil up at half time Rangers controlled the second half and added their third goal when young Joe Pelosi pressed his opponent and proceeded to punish the home defence by striking the ball into the net.

Rangers added a fourth goal when substitute Lee Trundle netted to give the home side a convincing victory.
